Shot a visual test video with my friend Matt Renouf this afternoon. The idea was to just see what we could get out of the Nikon D7000 without any lights (because we don’t currently have any) and to practice coverage and give me something to practice editing, exporting and uploading properly. Believe it or not, there is a lot of room for error, even after shooting.
I don’t have an awful lot of experience with… anything. Not with editing, sound, shooting video or anything like that if I’m totally honest. The only applicable skills I have is some basic experience in photography and some with music. I guess you could apply that to the sound aspect of shooting?
Well, it doesn’t hurt, I’m sure.
So here’s the final result of what we shot earlier, in case you wanted to take a lot. Bare in mind, it’s a visual test. Not an audio test. We called it “Awkward”, because that’s what it kinda was when shooting something with no plan, script or dialogue.
I guess maybe you could blag it as an art house short? Hahahaha, if only.
PS, I’m going to say more about the video and what I’ve learned from it later on.
